Description: I’ve always felt a strong pull towards the ocean. I fell in love with scuba diving, became an instructor in 2006 which led me to the yachting industry. I spent four years at sea, traveling nonstop and seeing the world. Finally in 2011 I ended up in Cabarete, Dominican Republic. I went there for two weeks to learn how to kiteboard but couldn’t bring myself to leave and stayed three months. I’ve put my yachting career on hold and have been chasing the wind ever since. Kiteboarding has brought me so much closer to where I really feel at home, on the water, alive and free.

Top Places to Ride : I love my home beach, in Juno. Sometimes the conditions are challenging but it’s amazing how the same ocean can be so different day to day. I learned how to ride my surfboard in Islamorada (in the Florida Keys) and Fort Pierce, Florida. Cabarete will always hold a place in my heart and not just for the kiteboarding. Huguenot, Tybee Island and I’m looking forward to all the places I’ll see in 2012.
