Patrick has been a passionate fan of Starkites’ since its beginning- and he knows his stuff!
Starting off as a ski instructor and ski patrol member in the Alps during the winter, and an avid windsurfer during the summer, Patrick moved to Miami to make the most out of his favourite all-year-round playground: the sea.
He is a succesful entrepreneur in different business fields- from real estate to manufacturing. Even through his busiest times, he has always maintained his connection to water sports.
He was introduced to kiteboarding at 40 years old, and he feels this was his revelation. He quickly got hooked on the exhilaration and freedom that the sport offers. He soon after became an IKO instructor- just as the IKO was coming into existence.
Knowing that kiting technology still needed time to grow, he was delighted to finally get his hands on the new breed of kite: the bow. Starkites introduced the S-BOW in 2006. Finally! No more being overpowered, or out of control.
Patrick’s motto: “Just do it! Follow your dreams… it’s never too late…”
