Brent was born in Colorado, he’s always been drawn to adrenaline sports such as snowboarding, street lugging, and dirt biking, Bmx Biking, white water rafting,etc…
In 2004 he moved to New Zealand to live with uncle on a sheep farm wear he learned to surf and surfed everyday.
In 2006 Brent moved to Florida and got fed up with surfing tiny blown out waves then he saw a kiter boost huge over his head, he quickly learned the sport and has been kiting ever since
In 2008 he moved to Cape Hatteras NC to work as an instructor for Real kiteboarding.
In 2008 he started riding for Eclipse Kiteboarding.
In 2010 he saw the light and picked up a StarKites.
He is 22 years old and hopes to sail around the world one day.
Brent Beringhaus strives each day to live a creative life that pushes the envelope of adventure. Adventures that force a person to view life from different angles; like the view of the shoreline while soaring above the tops of breaking waves upside down, or the obsessive awareness of every twitch in the palm fronds. Every subtle twitch might be a sign. A sign that only a kiteboarder knows.
Brent also recently signed a sponsorship with Transcend kiteboarding clothes.
