A true entrepeneur, starting his first successful business at 19 years old, Fred loves the challenge of turning business opportunites into success.
He is another passionate watersport enthusiast, with solid backgrounds in surf, windsurf and hobby-cat, before getting totally involved with kiteboarding. He moved to the Dominican Republic in 1994 to be on the spot with all the right elements.
He discovered kiting when it was just starting out. It was at this time that he finally found the perfect way of linking his entrepreneurial mindset with his passion for watersports.
Fred has been very active in kite industry since 2000. He organized the first kite training program for instructors and started the first professional kitesurfing school in Cabarete.
In parallel, he co-founded the IKO alongside Eric Beaudonnat in order to make kiting available all around the world. The IKO- International Kiteboarding Organization- ikointl.com- is the worldwide reference for teaching all the kiting disciplines- snow, land and water kiting.
