The Starkites team attended the Master of the Ocean 2011 at Encuentro, Cabarete last weekend.
With sunny blue skies, winds 15 to 20 knots side-on and chest high waves, Encuentro was a perfect playground. After the Surf, SUP , and windsurfing heats it was time for the kiters to hit it. Our four Starkites riders dominated most heats with their ridiculous level. Luis, Posito, Joselito and Nico were on fire showing everyone their skillfull dominican style. The show went on for friday and saturday but unfortunately crapped out sunday for the finals.
In the end results,
Starkites riders “Joselito de lo Lo Santo” and “Luis Alberto Cruz” were part of the six finalists that got skunked by the wind on Sunday, and split 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place with the four other riders. Our junior Starkites rider Nico Suriel obtained the title “Future master of the Ocean”, Joselito obtained the title “Future Master Kite” and Posito Martinez put the icing on the cake by obtaining the title “Most Outstanding Kitesurf Performance”!!!!
All of our riders were riding with the Starkites NeX Bar and the 2011 ExAs.

Our riders Luis and Posito left for France just after the competition to pay a visit to our dealer Utopeak in Beligium where they will be showing our beautiful 2011 gear and train for the PKRA coming up in Leucate, south of France the 23rd to the 28th of April.
