Last weekend’s event “kiteboarding for kidz” turned out great, with plenty of competitors as well as spectators.“This event was all about fun and full of healthy competition as these kids are athletes by nature. The older and more experienced guys shared their knowledge with the smaller kids. Luis Alberto Cruz-STARKITES pro rider who is preparing for PKRA France, placed 1st after throwing down a double handle pass in really low wind on his 11 meter ExA. When asked what his mindset was today, Luis responded, “I relied on experience, my Star Kite, committing to the trick, and riding hard. Luis amped up the younger guys as they strived to reach his level. Luis talked a little bit about how important KB4K is and what it means to the children, “I told them to stay focused. They need to concentrate on kiting. They need to pursue a goal and do something meaningful. And they are and it great to see. Just behind Luis’ 1st place on the podium came Starkites Rider Felix Antonio (aka Posito) in 2nd place, and Joselito also Starkites Rider in 3rd place!!!
All in all everyone at the event had a great time. We would like to thank and congratulate our riders for the awesome performances, and showing everyone the potential of our kites!!
