I spent the first 15 years of my life snow skiing in France but when I moved to Miami in 1994, there were no mountains nor snow to be found. I found something that could give me a similar high: windsurfing which I practiced for 10 years. I met my husband on the water windsurfing in Miami in 1998.
When kitesurfing came out, it was a whole new ball game. Difficult to learn at first, but when I finally got it, I got addicted immediately.
To me it is in a few words: FUN, FLY, FREEDOM, FITNESS.
Riding style: I like to jump and ride the waves, I would try a few moves but mostly I enjoy being on the water, being one with the ocean.
It is a real meditation and I recharge completely as well as getting a complete workout.
Top places to ride: Cabarete, DR, and Kailua Hawaii. And of course my home spots: Crandon Park and Surfside in Miami, where the water is always warm and conditions are gentle.
